Mr. Paulo Duarte Lopes has a Degree in Law with emphasis in Public and Budget Law. Since December of 2012 holds the position of Director in the Portuguese Gambling Regulatory Authority – Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal, I.P. (SRIJ)  Recently, he has participated at several gaming events as guest speaker, like the Cumbre Iberoamericana del Juego, Brazilian Gamming Congress, III SICAD Congress – additive behaviors and addiction, and also represents Portugal in the Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF).

His previous professional experience includes positions held in several Government Offices, as deputy of the Office of the Secretary of State for Treasury and Finance, chief of cabinet, deputy and legal adviser of the Secretary of State of the Budget. In addition to those positions, was also Head of Accounting Division of the Office of Budget Consulting, in the Portuguese DG Budget (Ministry of finance).
